Your learning guide.

I'm Judith Pinto, an experienced child development & mental health specialist and parent educator.   I help parents learn to overcome their own anxiety so they can better care for their anxious children.  Parents who work with me develop confidence in their ability to offer the kind of warmth and connection children need to experience peace of mind within themselves, while providing appropriate, clear limits and "just right" structure to overcome anxiety's grip on their family's life.

Ultimately, parents feel calm and confident in their ability to be "good enough parents".  This helps their children feel calm, confident and "good enough" too.  Ultimately, that means fewer emotional upsets, tantrums, meltdowns, and shutdowns - in parents and children - and more healthy, respectful parent-child relationships.  Because when parents and children know - truly know - they are "good enough" and feel secure in their relationship, they can both be brave and step into meeting life's inevitable challenges.
Over the past 25 years, I have helped countless numbers of parents solve the most challenging problems and conflicts in their home and family life by learning to address anxiety - their children's and their own.  My highly experiential educational offerings will give you the chance to really understand and apply new insights in neuroscience, attachment, sensory processing and anxiety management in your daily interactions with your children.  You'll learn to FEEL calm and confident because you'll BE so much more skilled.  You'll know you've got this!
ALSO, in case you're interested, the business name, Kyokan (pronounced "Kee-oh-khan") is a Japanese word that means "empathetic".  Kyokan Connections gives parents the chance to explore, practice and delve deeply into learning how to engage with empathic curiosity with their children.  This is foundational to a healthy, loving, lifelong relationship.

Note.

All offerings through Kyokan Connections are educational in nature and are NOT a substitute for therapy, counselling, or medical advice and/or direct intervention.  If you are in need of therapy, counselling, or medical advice, please consult with a regulated health professional in your geographic area.
